The dinner saw Mark Zuckerberg (Meta), Bill Gates (Microsoft), Sundar Pichai (Google) and other in attendance, while Musk’s absence immediately caught the internet’s attention. Trump showcased America’s advances in AI research during the event, but online chatter quickly turned to why Musk was not in attendance, especially after the two men’s public fallout. Interestingly, Trump recently softened his tone towards the Tesla and SpaceX chief, telling the Scott Jennings Show: “Elon is 80% genius, 20% problems.” The President also hinted at Musk’s possible political future.
