Dhanush’s upcoming action drama Kuberaa is generating strong buzz in the United States. With just two days left for its grand premiere, the film has witnessed a remarkable surge in its advance ticket sales, reflecting growing anticipation among audiences.As per reports, Kuberaa has so far raked in $115,800( Rs 1 crore) through advance bookings in the US. The film is now scheduled across 350 locations, with nearly 665 shows lined up and over 6600 tickets already sold. What’s particularly striking is the sharp growth in its sales over the last two days.Just two days ago, Kuberaa had grossed around $36,200 in advance sales in the US market. In comparison to that figure, the film has now registered an impressive 220% jump, adding over $79,500 in bookings within a 48-hour window. This surge comes as more locations and shows were opened, and word-of-mouth surrounding the film’s trailer, music, and the starcast of the film from Dhanush to Nagarjuna to Rashmika Mandanna.The film has been directed by Sekhar Kammula. Trade analysts are optimistic about Kuberaa’s opening weekend prospects in the US and in India, especially after this sharp upward trend in its advance bookings. With two more days to go, industry insiders expect another solid jump in collections before the premiere.If this momentum holds, Kuberaa could mark one of Dhanush’s strongest overseas openings to date. All eyes are now on the final advance sales figures and the film’s premiere performance at the US box office.Kubera is clashing with Aamir Khan’s comeback film Sitaare Zameen Par- the spiritual sequel to his 2007 hit film Taare Zameen Par. SZP has been directed by RS Prasanna and is the official remake of Spanish film Campeones. The film also features Genelia D’souza and Aamir’s sister Nikhat Khan along with Brjendra Kala, Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh and Zeenat Hussain.
