In a chat with Rhea Chakraborty on her YouTube show, Vikrant opened up about the emotional weight and responsibility that comes with earning. “On a serious note, when you realise that, medically, you can take care of your parents. No matter what happens… You have secured yourself in all possible ways, but sometimes you feel like… we are not dependent on any bank, we don’t need insurance. He was not in town when his father was admitted to hospital due to a heart issue. His wife, Sheetal Thakur, was with them during that time. “We were not married and Sheetal had taken my father to Hinduja Hospital. As soon as I got out of the lift, I saw my mother standing in a queue. There were 2–3 people ahead of her and she was standing in line with a folder under her arm,” he shared.Vikrant tore insurance claiming paper from his motherVikrant asked her why she was in the queue, and she revealed that she was starting to claim insurance. “I took that paper and I tore it and I said, ‘Don’t ever do that. Let’s go’. I mean, that’s also a privilege,” he admitted. The ’12th Fail’ actor also acknowledged that being financially secure brings a unique confidence.
