Aamir Khan and Genelia D’Souza starrer ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ seems to have struck the right chord with the audience. Within just 5 days of release, the movie has crossed the Rs. 70 crore mark and seems to be inching towards the Rs.100 crore club at a steady pace. The movie minted around Rs. 50 crore on its opening weekend. However, on its first Monday, it witnessed a sharp dip after making a smashing collection on Saturday and Sunday. With more than 60% loss, it collected Rs 8.5 Cr in all languages – (Hindi: Rs 8.4 Cr; Tamil: Rs 0.05 Cr; Telugu: Rs 0.05 Cr). However, a dip in the business on weekdays is nothing new in the trade. Directed by R.S. Prasanna and written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is being called the spiritual sequel to ‘Taare Zameen Par’.
