Former Buckingham Palace butler Grant Harrold, in his upcoming book The Royal Butler, claims Prince William is preparing to “press a reset button” on the monarchy. Harrold says the future royal core will be reduced to William, Kate, and their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, as the monarchy grows “more fragile” and increasingly resembles a celebrity brand. He notes Prince Harry was the first “celebrity royal,” signaling how the institution is changing with time. Unlike past monarchs, William prefers a hands-on lifestyle, doing his own cooking, carrying bags, and even washing dishes. Harrold revealed that despite his role as butler, William and Kate insisted on managing their household independently.
