The key to early detection is awareness and regular health checkups. This apart, the HPV vaccine protects against HPV types that cause cervical, vaginal, vulvar, penile, anal, and oropharyngeal cancers, as well as genital warts. For women, the vaccine can be taken as early as 11 or 12 years of age till the age of 45 (check with your doctor first)
