When Kangana Ranaut revealed she REJECTED a film starring Shah Rukh Khan: ‘Nobody wants to…’

Kangana Ranautis one of the boldest and most talked-about actresses in Indian cinema. Known for speaking her mind and taking fearless career decisions.ince her debut in 2006 with the film ‘Gangster’, Kangana has worked hard to make a name for herself. She has faced many challenges but has always stood her ground. Her success with the film ‘Queen’ in 2014 was a turning point in her career.Turning down the biggest starsIn a past episode of the TV show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, Kangana opened up about some surprising film offers she turned down. She revealed, “Salman had offered me a role in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, and Shah Rukh had offered a role in ‘Zero’.”When asked if she ever refused a film with Akshay Kumar, she replied, “Akshay Kumar offered me a role in ‘Singh is Bliing’. As a female actor, I created my own existence (astitva) in the industry. Nobody wants to make a movie about an old woman who was thrice our Prime Minister (Indira Gandhi).”The struggles behind the spotlightKangana also shared how tough her early days in the industry were. Getting work wasn’t easy. “In 2006, when I was struggling for roles, nobody offered me anything, not even secondary roles,” she admitted. But things changed dramatically after her film ‘Queen’ hit the screens in 2014. It turned out to be a game-changer. “When my movie ‘Queen’ became a success in 2014, then offers came. I felt I had gotten a separate opportunity. Like Vyjayanthimala and Sridevi used to do movies on their own,” she said.A strong mind in a star-driven industryIn the same interview, Kangana questioned whether she could really shine in a film led by the industry’s biggest male stars. “Will Aamir Khan allow me to give the best performance? Salman is a larger-than-life star. Temptations… they’re giants of the industry. Salman is my dear friend, Aamir is so nice,” she said.On the work front, Kangna was last seen in the film ‘Emergency’.
