Former Indian badminton player Parupalli Kashyap posted an Instagram story that has caught a lot of attention, just hours before his wife, Saina Nehwal, confirmed their separation on social media. The couple, who had been married for nearly seven years, have officially ended their relationship.Saina, an Olympic bronze medallist, shared the news late Sunday night through an Instagram story. In it, she said the decision was made for the sake of “peace, growth, and healing.”Kashyap is yet to speak publicly about the separation. However, his last Instagram post, which was shared about six hours before Saina’s announcement, showed him in attendance at the Awakenings Festival in the Netherlands, which took place from July 11 to 13. Kashyap, who retired from the sport in 2024 and has since moved into coaching, had a successful badminton career. At the 2012 London Olympics, he became the first Indian male shuttler to reach the quarterfinals. In 2013, he reached a career-high world ranking of No. 6.
