    Deepika Padukone’s exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’ made headlines, with the actress allegedly dropping out of the film due to a clash over her working hours. Her eight-hour workday reportedly sparked discussions among industry insiders, and actor Vikrant Massey has now reacted to the issue.Vikrant Massey about Deepika Padukone’s alleged 8 hour work days demandIn an interview with Firstpost, Deepika’s Chhapaak co-star Vikrant Massey supported her alleged demand for an eight-hour workday. “I aspire to do something like that very soon. Maybe in a couple of years… I want to go out and say, we can collaborate, but I would only work for eight hours. But at the same time, it should be a choice. And if my producer cannot accommodate that, because there are also a lot of other things involved when you are making a film...” he explained.

    Vikrant Massey’s take on reducing feesThe ’12th Fail’ actor further stated that he would be open to adjusting his fee accordingly. “If I cannot give my producer twelve hours a day, I cannot go out there and not reduce my fee. I ought to reduce my fee. It’s a give-and-take, right? And as a young mother, I think Deepika deserves it,” he added.Deepika Padukone’s recent rift with Sandeep Reddy VangaDeepika was earlier finalised to star alongside Prabhas in Spirit. She later exited the project, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared a cryptic social media post about a ‘PR game’ and trust, which triggered much speculation in showbiz circles. It was later reported that Deepika’s departure was due to her high fee demand and request for a share in profits.Vikrant’s work frontOn the work front, Vikrant will next be seen in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, alongside Shanaya Kapoor. The film, directed by debutant Santosh Singh, is slated for theatrical release on 11 July.Deepika’s work frontMeanwhile, Deepika Padukone is gearing up for her next film with Atlee and Allu Arjun. She will also return as SUM80 in Kalki 2898 AD – Part 2.
