Actor Varun Dhawan and producer Dinesh Vijan are reportedly set to collaborate on a new and unexpected film project, which is not the highly anticipated Bhediya 2. The successful duo, known for their work on Badlapur and Bhediya, may be venturing into a fresh and distinct cinematic offering.According to Pinkvilla, Varun Dhawan is in discussions with Vijan for a standalone mythological-horror comedy. This project is reportedly described as a genre-blending entertainer that would incorporate supernatural elements, Indian mythology, and substantial doses of humour. A source revealed, “Varun and Dinesh are definitely reuniting for Bhediya 2, but that film has seen a shift in its shooting schedule.In the meantime, they’re seriously exploring another unique concept — a mytho-horror film with comedic undertones.”The source confirmed that it’s a standalone film, unrelated to the production house’s existing horror-comedy universe (Stree, Roohi, Bhediya). Discussions are ongoing, with an official announcement likely by July, while the search for the female lead is still in progress.Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is presently filming for Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by his father David Dhawan. A video of Varun dancing with Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur to the Chunnari Chunnari song from Salman Khan’s Biwi No.1 went viral online. Following this, he has pending portions for Border 2, starring alongside Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.
