Janhvi Kapoor is the eldest daughter of the late actress, Sridevi, and filmmaker Boney Kapoor. She made her acting debut with the 2018 Shashank Khaitan film ‘Dhadak’, alongside Ishaan Khatter. Since then she has starred in various movies, turning herself into a promising young talent in the Indian film industry. The late actress joked that Janhvi would struggle and fumble and even hilariously imitated her daughter’s broken Hindi, making everyone laugh. Janhvi joined in on the laughs and even apologized for not being able to speak Hindi. She has acted in movies like Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Roohi, and Lust Stories, speaking Hindi fluently. Her next movie is Good Luck Jerry.Sridevi passed away in 2018, just months before Janhvi’s acting debut. Janhvi often faces comparisons to her famous mom. She told the Hindustan Times she wasn’t too “excited” about it.She had mentioned, “I think it’s just genetics and biology. I am her daughter, so zaahir hai ki main unki tarah hi dikhungi. But my mum holds such a strong space in people’s hearts and had a very personal connection. I hope I can please her fans also in some way, in a bid to show gratitude for all the love she got. I hope I’m given an opportunity to create my own identity. I don’t think anyone can be like her.
