The team and I, we’ve been working really, really hard to make sure that we capture the very thing that makes ‘Stranger Things’ what it is,” The executive producer, Eric Robles, said. He further revealed that he originally came up with the idea when he thought of the 80s cartoon series such as Scooby Doo, The Real Ghostbusters, Masters of the Universe, and Dungeons and Dragons. However, the final designs landed far away from them. Inspired by the famed ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ the spookiness revolves around the character designs from Meybis Ruiz Cruz (Entergalactic). The new monsters adding to the animated series are pumpkin zombies and a toothy snow shark, which are designed by Carlos Huante. The exact release date has not been revealed yet; however, Netflix said that ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85’ would be released sometime in 2026.
