Soni Razdan recently gave a brief yet heartwarming update on her granddaughter Raha Kapoor, amid Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s ongoing request for media privacy regarding their two-year-old daughter. The veteran actress was attending Neena Gupta’s 66th birthday celebration in Mumbai on Wednesday when paparazzi asked about Raha. With a warm smile, Soni replied, “Bilkul mast hai.”Back in March, Ranbir and Alia addressed the media directly, requesting that Raha not be photographed without consent. Alia had said, “We don’t want to push any sort of legal action, but we’ll be left with no choice if people don’t listen. Wait for Raha to cross or cover her face while clicking pictures.”Her concerns were deeply personal. She revealed that one of her biggest fears is someone breaking in and harming their daughter. “My worst nightmare is someone breaking in and taking Raha away,” the actor had confessed.Ranbir Kapoor supported his wife’s sentiments, acknowledging how easily photos can go viral in today’s digital age. “It might sound like a privilege problem, but as parents, we are trying to protect our child and we will do whatever we can,” he said. “Today, everybody who has a phone can post anything, and that can spread like wildfire, so that’s not in our control. You are like our family, so we can only request you, and you can help us achieve that.”
Prior to making a public appeal, Alia had quietly archived any previously shared images of Raha from her Instagram account. The couple formally introduced Raha to the world on Christmas Day 2023, sharing a glimpse of their daughter after much contemplation.Since then, most fans and paparazzi have respected the couple’s wishes, carefully avoiding unauthorized pictures or videos of Raha in public spaces.
