The internet went into complete shock last night after hearing the sad news that Shefali Jariwala, fondly known as the ‘Kaanta Laga’ girl, has passed away at just 42. Her sudden demise on Friday has left fans and the entertainment industry stunned, with many still trying to come to terms with this heartbreaking loss.

Declared brought dead at the hospital

As per multiple reports, Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai on Friday night by her husband Parag Tyagi and three others. But despite their best efforts, hospital authorities confirmed she was declared brought dead. A hospital receptionist also shared that Shefali had already passed away before reaching the hospital.

Though it is widely reported that she died due to cardiac arrest, the exact cause of her death has not yet been officially revealed. This has only added to the shock and sorrow felt by her fans and friends.

The ‘Kaanta Laga’ girl who stole hearts

Shefali became a household name when she appeared in the viral music video ‘Kaanta Laga’. Her bold moves, striking expressions and modern style made her an instant favourite. People loved her energy, and the song is still remembered mainly because of her.

She also showed her fun side on popular TV shows. Shefali appeared on two seasons of ‘Nach Baliye’, impressing everyone with her dance skills. Fans also adored her on ‘Bigg Boss 13’, where she was one of the most talked-about contestants. That season is still remembered for the late Sidharth Shukla, who was a close friend of Shefali. Their sweet bond on the show will truly be missed.

Many might not know that Shefali even had a small role in Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar’s 2004 film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’. She also featured in the Kannada movie ‘Hudugaru’, directed by K. Madesh, which starred Puneeth Rajkumar, Srinagar Kitty, Yogesh and Radhika Pandit.

A favourite on reality shows and social media

Shefali was always a lively face on TV. Apart from ‘Nach Baliye’ and ‘Bigg Boss 13’, she also appeared on dance show ‘Boogie Woogie’, bringing her spark wherever she went.

Even though she stepped away from the spotlight after marrying actor Parag Tyagi in 2014, Shefali never really disappeared. She stayed very active on social media, sharing happy moments from her life, travels, and glamorous photoshoots. Her Instagram was full of bright smiles, stylish outfits and joyful updates that made fans feel close to her.

Just three days before her sudden demise, Shefali shared a stunning photoshoot on Instagram. In the pictures, she looked young, confident and as radiant as ever. She wore a dazzling grey jumpsuit that featured a daring deep neckline, sheer long sleeves and flared bottoms with vertical shimmer. Under bright studio lights, she posed like a true diva, showing off her fit frame and fierce attitude.

She captioned the post, “Bling it on baby!” Words that now seem painfully bittersweet to her countless fans. The post has gone viral since the news broke, with people flooding the comments to say goodbye and express how heartbroken they are.
