Remember Sonu Nigam’s son who went viral for recreating Kolaveri Di? Here's how he looks now!
Nevaan Nigam, Sonu Nigam’s son, who once charmed everyone with his rendition of ‘Why This Kolaveri Di,’ has reappeared on social media, now grown up. His parents chose to keep him away from the spotlight, focusing on a normal childhood in Dubai. Sonu Nigam shared heartwarming photos on Father’s Day 2025, revealing Nevaan’s international upbringing and friendships.

He once melted hearts as a four-year-old with his adorable rendition of Why This Kolaveri Di, and now he’s all grown up! Sonu Nigam’s son, Nevaan Nigam, who went viral over a decade ago, made a rare appearance on social media this Father’s Day—leaving fans both nostalgic and surprised. From early fame to a quiet childhood in Dubai, here’s a look at how Nevaan has grown away from the limelight.Seated in a studio, young Nevaan charmed everyone by flawlessly singing Why This Kolaveri Di, following in his father Sonu Nigam’s footsteps. His adorable performance quickly became a sensation. Despite the viral fame, his parents chose to keep him largely away from the spotlight as he grew up.On Father’s Day 2025, the singer took to Instagram to share a series of heartwarming photos with his son. In one of the standout pictures, a now all-grown-up Nevaan is seen holding his father’s hand, flashing a smile that strikingly mirrors Sonu’s—leaving fans nostalgic and amazed at how much he’s grown. He captioned it, ‘Love and respects to my Son!’Check out the post here:While Sonu remains one of India’s most celebrated singers, his son Nevaan has spent much of his childhood away from the limelight, growing up in Dubai. Reflecting on Nevaan’s early brush with fame, Sonu told HT that his son became a sensation back in 2012, thanks to his adorable rendition of Why This Kolaveri Di.He also shared that while Nevaan did become a viral sensation early on, he and his wife were careful not to let fame disrupt their son’s childhood. He explained that they avoided making a big deal out of it, choosing not to push Nevaan into the spotlight with appearances or new songs. Instead, they focused on giving him a normal upbringing, filled with everyday experiences and genuine friendships—free from the pressures of public life. The singer revealed that he wanted his son to grow up and study outside India, but not too far from home. While the family initially considered moving to the U.S. in 2009—since both parents held green cards and Nevaan was a U.S. citizen—they eventually dropped the idea due to the challenging commute between Los Angeles and Mumbai. Instead, they settled in Dubai, which offered both proximity to India and an international environment. Sonu shared that Nevaan now has friends from countries like Brazil and Germany—an experience he himself never had as a child.
