Ramayana Wrap: Ranbir Kapoor and Ravi Dubey hug it out as they end Part 1 shoot; join director Nitesh Tiwari to deliver heartfelt speeches

It’s a wrap for one of the most anticipated films – Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’. The director finally called “cut” on Part 1 of the epic late Monday night. There by his side were leading men, Ranbir Kapoor and Ravi Dubey. The actors, who are cast as Lord Ram, and Laxmana, were seen hugging each other tightly after the final scene was filmed. In videos doing the rounds online, Ranbir and Ravi joined the team for a cake-cutting ceremony, where their director Tiwari, also gave a moving speech, earning hoots and cheers from his team. Amidst an “emotional and electric” atmosphere, Ranbir was also seen taking up the microphone and delivering a speech for the cast and crew, after which, they broke into applause. This update comes just as buzz about the makers getting ready to drop the first glimpse of the film began doing the rounds online. Although several photos and videos have leaked from the sets, fans have not yet seen an official post or picture from the film, barring the fiery movie posters.Ramayana has been one of the most closely watched projects in recent years, both for its scale and for its ensemble cast. Alongside Ranbir and Ravi, the film reportedly stars Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.Ranbir, who underwent a major physical transformation for the role, was seen helping himself to a piece of cake at the wrap party on the film sets. Soon after completing work, the actor was spotted at the Mumbai airport, jetting out of the country with his wife, Alia Bhatt and daughter Raha Kapoor. The family is reportedly flying out of the city for a quiet summer break together, before they head back to work on their many other projects.Besides working on Ramayana, Ranbir has also been busy working with Alia on director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ which also stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead. The mythological epic Ramayana – Part 1 is scheduled to be released around Diwali 2026, with Part 2 following at Diwali 2027, according to official announcements.
