    'Ramayana' first glimpse early review: Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash starrer 7-minute showreel will leave you ‘awestruck’

    The excitement around Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ is only getting stronger. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in key roles, this epic retelling of the age-old saga is easily one of the most awaited films in recent times. As fans count down to July 3, 2025, the day the first official glimpse of the film will be revealed, early reactions have already started to create a massive buzz.Taran Adarsh shares first reaction: ‘Leaves you awestruck’Film trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh recently got an exclusive opportunity to watch the first glimpse of ‘Ramayana’ along with a special 7-minute vision show reel. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he shared his instant reaction, which has only added fuel to fans’ excitement.He wrote, “#JaiShriRam… Just watched the first glimpse and a 7-minute vision showreel of the most-awaited epic – #Ramayana. This glimpse of the timeless saga leaves you awestruck…”In a follow-up post, he added, “Strong feeling: #Ramayana is not just a film for today, but for generations to come… #Boxoffice hurricane loading! Kudos to the visionary producer #NamitMalhotra for backing this monumental project.” Following his tweets, social media has been buzzing, with countless fans sharing how they cannot wait to finally witness the magic on screen.Ranbir Kapoor’s emotional speechMeanwhile, the makers of ‘Ramayana’ have officially wrapped up shooting for the first instalment. A behind-the-scenes video from the final day of filming is now doing the rounds on the internet, giving everyone a glimpse into the emotional wrap-up ceremony.In the clip, Ranbir Kapoor is seen addressing the entire cast and crew. With visible emotion, he thanked everyone for their dedication and hard work. Ranbir, who essays the role of Lord Ram, described it as the most important role of his career. He also made sure to appreciate his co-stars Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravi Dubey, and others, acknowledging the collective effort that went into bringing this grand vision to life. Beside him stood Ravi Dubey, who plays Laxman, visibly moved during Ranbir’s heartfelt speech.An ensemble castNitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project boasts an impressive star cast. Ranbir Kapoor takes on the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi steps into the shoes of Sita. Kannada superstar Yash plays Raavan, promising a powerful screen presence.The ensemble also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Laxman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, and Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari. With such a strong line-up, expectations are understandably sky high.The makers of ‘Ramayana’ have grand plans for this mythological spectacle. It will release in two parts, giving the story ample space to unfold. As per reports, the first part is set to hit theatres on Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027. However, an official confirmation of dates is still awaited.
