    Proud dad Amitabh Bachchan blesses Abhishek Bachchan as he begins first day of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’ shoot: ‘Ek aur nayi film ki shuruaat..’

    Amitabh Bachchan recently penned a heartfelt note for his son Abhishek Bachchan as he began shooting for his next big film. Titled ‘King’, this new movie is directed by Siddharth Anand and stars Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and more.Sharing his joy on social media, Amitabh wrote, “Ek chap ke kuch hi dinon mein , release hone waali hai .. aur ek aur nayi film ki shuruaat ho gayi hai .. pehla din film ‘KING’ ki shooting … My blessings Bhaiyu .. love and more ❤️ And one more film shooting is complete and ready and coming soon .. my prayers ever.” His sweet message shows just how proud he is of Abhishek and how much he supports his son’s work.Celebrating 25 years of Abhishek on screenIn another special moment, Amitabh Bachchan cheered for Abhishek as he completed 25 years in the film industry. Reacting to a fan video on X that showed Abhishek’s many roles over the years, Amitabh praised the journey his son has had so far.The video included clips from different films, capturing how Abhishek has grown as an actor. With much love and admiration, Amitabh wrote, “Is Variety ko maine pranaam karta hoon, aur apne putra ki sarahna karta hoon. Jee haan, pita hoon main uska, aur mere liye mera putra Abhishek sarahna karne yogya hai.”These words made it clear that while Amitabh is a legendary actor himself, he is also a very proud father.From ‘Refugee’ to ‘King’: Abhishek’s journeyAbhishek Bachchan made his Bollywood debut in 2000 with JP Dutta’s ‘Refugee’. He acted alongside Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty and Anupam Kher in this film. Since then, Abhishek has gone on to do many popular movies like ‘Yuva’, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Dhoom’, ‘Delhi-6’, ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘The Big Bull’.Over the years, he has tried different kinds of roles, which is what Amitabh meant when he spoke about Abhishek’s “variety”. It is this mix of roles that makes Abhishek’s career so interesting to watch.Next up: ‘Kaalidhar Laapata’ and ‘King’Abhishek’s fans have more to look forward to. His next film, ‘Kaalidhar Laapata’, will be out on OTT on 4 July. This movie is directed by Madhumita and also stars Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub.Meanwhile, the buzz around ‘King’ is already huge. The film is set to release in 2026. Shah Rukh Khan plays the lead role of a powerful assassin caught up in the criminal world. Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan and Abhay Verma are confirmed as part of the cast. Reports also say that Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor have joined the film too. With such a big line-up, ‘King’ is shaping up to be one of the most awaited films in the coming years.
