‘Preity Zinta’s team won kya?’: Salman Khan’s old tweet goes VIRAL ahead of RCB vs PBKS IPL 2025 final

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s tweet from 2014 has made a big comeback online ahead of the IPL final today. An 11-year-old tweet by Khan has taken over social media, adding a nostalgic twist to the cricket frenzy. The tweet asked, “Zinta’s team won kya?”—a simple question about Preity Zinta’s cricket team, which she co-owns.Now, after a dramatic win over Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings have stormed into their first IPL final in 11 years, and the internet couldn’t resist bringing back Salman’s tweet. The tweet that predicted a comeback?Salman’s tweet might have been a passing comment in 2014, but it has aged in the most surprising way. The old tweet quickly became a hot topic on social media. Fans loved seeing it again and shared lots of memes and messages. Many fans saw the tweet as a lucky charm for PBKS. They also asked Salman Khan to come to the final. One fan wrote, “Bring him to the final.” Another said, “You guys need to bring BHAI to the IPL FINAL.” A fan summed up the feeling perfectly, “Iss tweet ko Final jeetne ke baad bhi repost karna banta hai.”On the work frontAway from the cricket fever, Salman was last seen on screen in the film ‘Sikandar’. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the movie also starred Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal. Despite the buzz, the film did not perform well at the box office. It was later released on OTT on 25 May, giving fans a second chance to catch the action at home.Meanwhile, Preity Zinta is all set to return to the big screen with the upcoming period drama ‘Lahore 1947’. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film features Sunny Deol in a key role and is set against the emotional backdrop of the India-Pakistan partition.
