Liverpool Parade Incident: Paul Doyle, 53, from West Derby, Charged After Car Rams Into Fans
Paul Doyle, 53, from West Derby, Liverpool, has been charged with multiple serious offenses after allegedly driving his vehicle into a crowd of football fans during Liverpool FC’s victory parade. The incident left nearly 80 people injured and has sparked public outrage.
Doyle faces several charges, including dangerous driving, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, wounding with intent to cause injury, and attempted GBH. He is scheduled to appear before Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Unverified social media profiles believed to be linked to Doyle have surfaced amid the investigation. His alleged X (formerly Twitter) account bio claims he is married with three daughters. A LinkedIn profile, which has not yet been verified, lists Doyle as a former Royal Marine Commando currently working in the IT sector.
Records from Companies House also show Doyle’s name connected to several dissolved retail ventures, including a home-based mail-order company named Farout Caps.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and the authenticity of the social media profiles.
