The 2025 NBA Finals are here, and it’s the Oklahoma City Thunder taking on the Indiana Pacers for the championship title and the coveted Larry O’Brien Trophy. This year’s Finals mark a historic moment for both franchises.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has led the Thunder to their first NBA Finals appearance since 2012 and their first championship shot since relocating to Oklahoma City in 2008. While the franchise did win a title as the Seattle SuperSonics in 1979, OKC has yet to win an NBA title under its current name.
Meanwhile, Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers have made a stunning run through the playoffs, defeating the New York Knicks to reach their first NBA Finals since 2000. The Pacers are still chasing their first NBA championship, although they won three ABA titles in the 1970s.

With an NBA-best 68 regular-season wins, Oklahoma City enters the series as the top seed in the Western Conference and holds home-court advantage throughout the Finals.
