Mumtaz was always appreciated for her beauty and looks in the 70s and 80s but now even at the age of 77, she remains very fit and gorgeous. The actress has a long list of popular songs to her credit and many roles. Not to mention, Mumtaz’s onscreen pairing with her co-stars like Rajesh Khanna and Shammi Kapoor is considered iconic. In a recent interview, the actress has spilt some of her beauty secrets and also revealed the one fitness tip which she got from Akshay Kumar that she stands by.The actress during a chat with Radio Nasha, “I am very strict about food. I don’t eat much. I don’t eat the wrong thing, lots of exercise, I take care of my face, my hair, I make my own mask. And I am very particular about timings.”She added, “I sleep at about 9-10 pm and I get up at 4-5 in the morning. I do my exercise at 7 am then I drink black tea. Then I take very little breakfast, not very fattening. And that’s it. Then I have lunch. I don’t have dinner. I just take some fruits. I don’t eat dinner.” Mumtaz revealed further, “Akshay Kumar told me, ‘don’t eat after 5-6 pm. So I learnt that from him.” Akshay had earlier spoken about his no-dinner rule in several interviews and press conferences and said, “Shastron mein likha hai, 6.30 baje ke baad khaana nahi khaana chahiye (Shastras say that we should not eat after 6:30 pm). When you eat late, like at 10 or 11 pm, your body goes to rest, but your gut stays awake trying to digest food. This delays recovery and puts extra strain on your system.”
