    Mukul Dev’s last Instagram post spoke of dark forebodings:  'I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon'
    Actor Mukul Dev’s recent passing at 54 has brought renewed attention to his final Instagram post. The post, featuring a video from an aircraft cockpit, included lyrics from Pink Floyd’s ‘Brain Damage,’ creating a haunting echo. Before his acting career, Mukul was a trained pilot and ran an aeronautical training institute, showcasing his lifelong passion for aviation alongside his versatile acting roles in multiple film industries.

    Actor Mukul Dev, who passed away at the age of 54 in New Delhi on Friday, left behind a chilling final Instagram post that has now drawn fresh attention. A trained pilot and aviation enthusiast, Mukul had shared a video from inside the cockpit of an aircraft just months before his demise.The video, posted on February 26 this year, captured a serene moment above the clouds, but it was the caption that now feels haunting.A Grim Echo from the SkiesQuoting lyrics from Pink Floyd’s ‘Brain Damage’, Mukul wrote, “And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too…. I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon. #crosscountry.” He also added Dark Side of the Moon as the background music, underlining a sense of somber reflection.

    A Life in the Skies and Onscreen Mukul Dev’s passion for flying was not just a hobby — it was a professional chapter of his life. After completing aviation training at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (National Flying Academy) in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, he worked as a commercial pilot for nearly a decade. He even ran an aeronautical training institute in Delhi, helping to shape young aviation professionals. However, Mukul eventually pivoted fully to acting, building a multifaceted career in Hindi, Punjabi, and South Indian cinema as well as television.

    A Versatile Actor Across Industries Born on September 17, 1970, in New Delhi, Mukul Dev debuted in the entertainment world with the 1996 TV series ‘Mumkin’. That same year, he made his Bollywood film debut in the psychological thriller Dastak, alongside Sushmita Sen. Over the years, Mukul appeared in a wide range of films, including ‘Son of Sardaar’, ‘R… Rajkumar’, ‘Jai Ho’, and numerous regional language hits spanning Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam industries.
