Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning box office collection Day 18: Tom Cruise starrer sees numbers drop under Rs 1 crore as it grosses Rs 100 crore in India

Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning witnessed a dip in its third Tuesday box office numbers in India, slipping below the Rs 1 crore mark for the first time since its release. According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, the action-packed spy thriller registered its lowest single-day collection yet, with earnings under Rs 1 crore.Despite the slowdown, the film has reached a significant milestone by grossing over Rs 106 crore in India. After opening to a strong Rs 54.4 crore in its first week, the film added Rs 26.75 crore in week two. So far, in its third week, it has brought in around Rs 11.14 crore, pushing its total net collection to an estimated Rs 92.29 crore.Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, The Final Reckoning hit the Rs 100 crore gross milestone in just 16 days, powered by the franchise’s strong fan base and Tom Cruise’s enduring appeal. The film now eyes a bigger goal — to surpass the Rs 131 crore benchmark set by Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and become the highest-grossing instalment in the franchise in India. It will need to pull in another Rs 25 crore gross to achieve that feat. This marks only the second time a Tom Cruise film has grossed Rs 100 crore in the Indian market, indicating the growing popularity of the franchise. However, with the film’s momentum slowing and fresh competition from upcoming releases, sustaining the current pace will be a challenge.Globally, Mission: Impossible 8 is faring well. It has crossed the $350 million mark at the worldwide box office, with total earnings currently at $353 million. The film is on track to surpass Dead Reckoning’s global lifetime total of $571 million, with projections suggesting a final run north of $600 million. However, according to the makers, considering the film’s huge $400 million production budget, the movie has to earn an estimated $1 billion at the box office to turn a profit.
