Mika Singh urges Diljit Dosanjh to apologise and remove objectionable scenes featuring Hania Aamir from Sardaar Ji 3: ‘We’re all willing to forgive’

After making a sharp attack on Diljit Dosanjh over the Sardaar Ji 3 controversy, singer Mika Singh has now softened his stance, asking fans to forgive Diljit if he apologises and removes the objectionable content from the film.Taking to his Instagram Stories, Mika wrote, “Guys, I understand, we all make mistakes in life. But when we do, there’s one simple word that holds power: Sorry. If Diljit made a mistake, we’re all willing to forgive. But he must apologise and remove all the objectionable scenes from the movie! That’s it. No hate. Just respect. Desh pehle!”

Mika earlier took a veiled dig at Diljit DosanjhBefore this reconciliatory message, Mika had shared a strongly worded post, without naming Diljit directly, that appeared to target him for working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir during tensions between India and Pakistan.“Guys, as we all know, the relationship between India and Pakistan isn’t going well right now. Yet some people continue to act irresponsibly,” he wrote in a note titled “Desh Pehle”.In a sharper line, he added, “What’s more shocking is that a fake singer, after doing 10 shows in India with thousands of fans buying tickets, has now disappeared — leaving fans betrayed and helpless.” The statement was accompanied by an image of both Mika and Diljit, suggesting his criticism was clearly directed at the Born to Shine singer.

DILJIT DOSANJH’S SARDAR JI 3 UNDER FIRE | MAKERS DEFEND HANIA AAMIR’S CASTING AMID BOYCOTT CALLS

FWICE calls for boycott, slams Diljit’s ‘disrespect’The Sardaar Ji 3 row erupted after the trailer dropped, triggering backlash from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) due to the inclusion of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. In a statement, FWICE President BN Tiwari said, “By working with a Pakistani actor, Diljit has hurt Indian sentiments. He has disrespected the sentiments of the nation and insulted the sacrifice of our brave soldiers.”He further questioned Diljit’s decision to choose a Pakistani talent over Indian artists, calling it a matter of “loyalty and priorities.”Diljit responds: “The film was shot before the tensions escalated”In an interview with BBC Asian Network, Diljit defended the film, saying it was shot earlier this year when the political situation was still stable. “Jab yeh film bani thi tab situation sab theek tha… Now the situation is not in our hands,” he said. He also expressed support for the producers’ decision to release the film internationally. With increasing backlash, the makers of Sardaar Ji 3 have decided to skip an Indian release and are moving forward with a worldwide release on June 27.Directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, the film stars Diljit Dosanjh alongside Hania Aamir, Neeru Bajwa, Manav Vij, Gulshan Grover, Jasmin Bajwa, and Sapna Pabbi.
