Aanjjan Srivastav’s meeting with Amitabh Bachchan amid the financial issuesIn a recent conversation with Friday Talkies, Aanjjan said that the bank he worked with was concerned about outstanding dues and asked him to personally get in touch with Bachchan. The actor remembered visiting Bachchan on a film set at Kamalistan Studios along with his bank manager. “He said (gestures with folded hands), ‘Main aapke ek ek paise vapas kar dunga (I will return every penny I owe you)’. And he did. He is a man of his word,” Aanjjan shared. He also shared that the bank’s head office insisted on making Jaya Bachchan the guarantor. “The head office said that they wanted Jaya’s guarantee, and she also signed.”Aanjjan Srivastav about Amitabh Bachchan getting misled by his teamIn an old interview with Rajshri Unplugged, Aanjjan opened up about Amitabh’s company ABCL struggling to thrive due to the financial crisis. He believed Bachchan was being misled by those managing his finances. When a bank considered taking legal action against him, Aanjjan intervened personally. “When the ABCL account was there, he (Amitabh) was trapped in it. We used to go to his office from the bank to take statements, and people were bluffing him badly. This is what my manager and I realised,” he shared.
