Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom to part ways after 9-year romance: Reports

Pop star Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom may be headed for a split, before they can say ‘I do’. The couple, who was first linked in 2016, is reportedly heading for a split, multiple sources told Page Six. Insiders have revealed that the pair’s relationship is facing mounting strain on a personal and professional front. The singer, who is currently on tour, is allegedly waiting it out and will only make the separation announcement public once the tour wraps.“It’s over,” a source told Page Six. “They are waiting till her tour is over before they split.”Perry is currently on her Lifetimes world tour, which kicked off on April 23 and is scheduled to run through December 7. Orlando, on the other hand, has been out and about, promoting his film ‘Deep Cover’ in the US. According to reports, tension has been simmering between the two, particularly following the lukewarm reception to Perry’s latest album, 143. “It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.” Another insider claimed, “She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It’s put stress on their relationship.”Adding fuel to the rumours, Bloom was reportedly spotted spending time in Miami last month without Perry, further fuelling speculation about their current status. He was also seen reuniting with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr to celebrate their son’s graduation. For Katy and Orlando, it has not always been smooth sailing. The couple previously split in 2017 before reconciling and getting engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019. They welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, on August 26, 2020. Although there have been multiple rumours of the pair gearing up for an intimate wedding, they have never really taken the plunge. Reports even stated that the couple was planning a grand wedding in Japan after the lockdown. In recent interviews, both Perry and Bloom have acknowledged the complexities of their relationship. Speaking to Call Her Daddy in 2024, Perry reflected on their initial split: “We weren’t really in it from day one… I had to do a lot of real work.” That same month, she told People, “Orlando and I, when we argue, we argue kinda hot and fast and then cool really quickly… We are fire, fire, fire, and so [Daisy] sees all of that.”Bloom also addressed their dynamic in a 2023 interview with Flaunt, saying, “Sometimes things are really, really, really challenging. I won’t lie. We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity.”Most recently, Bloom and Perry put up a rather intimate front while at the Blue Origins spaceflight experience. The actor was by Katy’s side with their daughter to see her off on an 11-minute journey to the edge of space.
