    Karisma Kapoor steps out for the first time since Sunjay Kapur’s death; leaves for Delhi with kids for funeral

    After the news of her former husband and industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s passing, actress Karisma Kapoor was seen in public for the first time. She was spotted at the Mumbai airport with her children as they left for Delhi to attend his funeral.Suffered Heart AttackSunjay passed away after suffering a heart attack while playing polo in London on June 12. His funeral will be held in Delhi on Thursday. Karisma Kapoor will attend the last rites along with her children, Samaira and Kiaan, whom she had with Sunjay.At the AirportOn Thursday morning, Karisma Kapoor was spotted at a private airport in Mumbai as she left for Delhi with her children, Samaira and Kiaan.In videos shared on social media, Karisma is seen wearing a white suit, while her son Kiaan is dressed in a white kurta-pyjama. A brief glimpse of her daughter Samaira, also in a white suit, was caught on camera. The trio was seen quietly and quickly making their way into the airport.On Wednesday, Sunjay Kapur’s family released a press statement with details about his funeral. His last rites will be held on Thursday at 5 PM at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi. Earlier, there were reports that the funeral was delayed due to legal formalities related to his US citizenship.Prayer MeetingA note circulating on social media states that a prayer meeting for Sunjay Kapur will be held on June 22 from 4 PM to 5 PM at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi. The note is signed by his mother, Rani Surinder Kapur; his wife, Priya; and their children, Safira and Azarias. It also includes the names of his children with former wife Karisma, Samaira and Kiaan.Sunjay passed away on June 12 during a polo match in England. He was 53 years old. Initial reports suggested that he suffered a heart attack while playing. Later, some reports speculated that the heart attack may have been triggered by a bee sting. The couple has a son named Azarias. At the time of his passing, Sunjay was married to Priya.
