Kareena Kapoor Khan opens up on Saif’s stabbing; says, “I am still kind of struggling with..."

Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his home in February 2025 by an intruder who tried to steal from him. He fought back and got seriously injured, which shocked everyone, including his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan. She said it was a very emotional and difficult time for her. Thankfully, Saif is now doing fine, and the man who attacked him is in police custody. Kareena called Saif an “Iron Man” for their kids, Taimur and Jeh, because of how strong he has been through it all.Bebo spoke about the Saif Ali Khan stabbing incident for the first time during an interview with Barkha Dutt on Mojo Story. In the interview, the actress shared her thoughts and feelings about what happened. “I am still kind of struggling with what it does to see someone there in your child’s room. In Mumbai, you never really hear about such incidents. It is very common in the US. In Mumbai, we have never really heard about such incidents. We have still not come to terms 100 per cent. At least I haven’t. I was very anxious for the first couple of months. It was very difficult to sleep and get back to the person with that kind of normalcy.”When asked how she dealt with the traumatic incident, Kareena Kapoor Khan said it was a very difficult time for her, and she had to stay strong for her family., “With time, I realised that the memory fades more and more. It’s there in your heart. It is like death. When you lose someone, you never really get over it. That’s what I have always perceived – that you never really get over that. I don’t want to live in that fear for my children because that’s also wrong to put that stress onto them. So, it’s been a tough journey to manoeuvre from fear and anxiety to balancing the fact that I am a mother and I am also a wife. It was a combination of so much understanding that this is what I have to kind of deal with. I am just happy and thank God that we are safe.”The actress mentioned that the stabbing incident left a deep impact on their family, but it also brought them closer and made them stronger. She shared that her younger son, Jeh, now sees Saif as a superhero, believing he’s like Batman or Iron Man who can face anything. Kareena hopes that both her sons, having witnessed their father’s strength during such a tough time. She further reflected on how the incident affected her children, Taimur and Jeh. She feels that experiencing something so serious has given them a glimpse of the real world, breaking the protective bubble they were living in. While she wishes they hadn’t witnessed such a traumatic event, she hopes it will help shape them into stronger, more grounded individuals. Kareena believes that, in some way, this difficult experience might help her sons grow into more strong young men.Kareena Opens Up About Coping with the TraumaKareena shared that the incident deeply affected her on a personal level, saying it has left her shaken. However, as a mother, she’s trying hard not to let her stress or anxiety affect her children. She mentioned that Saif encourages the family not to live in fear and to try and move forward, even though the experience was extremely difficult. Kareena admitted that 2025 has been a tough year overall for their family, but she’s holding on to hope and looking for a silver lining in the midst of it all.Kareena Disappointed by Online ReactionsKareena Kapoor Khan addressed the criticism she faced for not being at home during the incident involving Saif Ali Khan. She expressed her disappointment over the negative comments, saying they didn’t make her angry but left her feeling sad. What upset her most was the realization that this kind of negativity is what people choose to focus on. She questioned the mindset of social media users and expressed concern about the kind of content people seem to value in today’s digital age.Professionally, Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in the investigation thriller ‘The Buckingham Murders’.
