Kajol says ‘partial deafness and selective amnesia' is the secret to her happy married life with Ajay Devgn - Deets inside

Kajol and Ajay Devgn are one of the most powerful and beloved couples of Bollywood. With a relationship that stood the test of time, these two stars have grown both individually and as a couple. And recently, during an interview, the ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ actress Kajol revealed the secret behind their strong standing bond and happy marriage; and it is “partial deafness and selective amnesia.”

Kajol’s secret to a happy marriage

Yes, you read that right! During a candid confession with Mashable India, Kajol spilled the tea on her interesting dynamic with husband Ajay. Those who know the couple know it for a fact that on several grounds, Kajol and Ajay have different energies and vibes. On the one hand, Ajay is more intense and doesn’t speak much; on the other hand, Kajol is known for her blunt honesty, talkative nature, and chirpiness! When asked how these two manage the contrasting personalities, Kajol said, “Oh, I say that quite often that the secret to a happy marriage is partial deafness and selective amnesia.”She laughed and explained, “Kuch cheezein bhoolni bohot zaruri hai, aur kuch cheezein na sunni bohot zaruri hai (It’s very important to forget certain things, and equally important not to hear some things.)”

Kajol reveals Ajay Devgn’s hidden talent

On an interesting note, Kajol shed some like on Ajay Devgn’s hidden culinary talent. Describing him as a fine chef, Kajol revealed, “Unki khaasiyat hai, vo kisi bhi cheez ko ek baar taste karte hai, he would know how to make it exactly the same. He would never tell you his secret ingredients for his recipes. (His specialty is that he would eat a dish once and would know how to make it.)”

    Kajol and Ajay Devgn

In 1995, Kajol and Ajay Devgn first met on the sets of ‘Hulchul.’ After dating for 4 years, they got married in 1999. Further, in 2003, they welcomed their first baby, their daughter, Nysa, and in 2010, their second child, their son Yug, came into their life.
