Kajol says her daughter Nysa was ‘hounded’ by paparazzi at 14, calls it ‘absolutely incorrect’: 'You need security to go out'

Kajol has been in the film industry since her teens, and over the decades, she has witnessed how the nature of fame, and the glare of the paparazzi, has transformed. Today, it’s not just her or her superstar husband Ajay Devgn who are constantly followed by the cameras, but their children, Nysa and Yug, have also found themselves in the spotlight.Speaking about how her kids have been coping with this constant media attention, Kajol admitted that they’ve handled it far better than she ever could.“They have handled it with a lot more grace than I have,” she said in an interview with Hindustan Times while promoting her latest film Maa. “They still are handling it with a lot more grace than I am. With a lot more acceptance, also, as I would say.”Nysa was ‘hounded’ at 14, Kajol calls it ‘absolutely incorrect’The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai star revealed that her daughter Nysa has been under media scrutiny since she was barely a teenager. “She has been hounded by the paps ever since she was 14-15,” Kajol shared, adding, “It’s absolutely incorrect.”The constant attention has led to lifestyle changes for her children, she explained. “You need security to go out. A lot of things that you would have probably been able to do if you were not hounded or whatever,” she said.‘No choice but to change their perspective’Kajol also believes that this unavoidable exposure has forced her children to mature quickly. “The paparazzi culture is something they have to accept,” she said. “They have no choice but to change their perspective on it and handle it with a lot of grace and dignity.”
