JoSAA Counselling 2025: First Mock Seat Allotment Out Today at 2 PM on josaa.nic.in
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will release the first mock seat allocation for JoSAA Counselling 2025 today, June 9, at 2 PM on its official website – josaa.nic.in.
This mock allotment is based on candidates’ preferences submitted until 8 PM on June 8, using their JEE Main or JEE Advanced 2025 scores. It offers a preview of possible seat allocations, helping students evaluate and revise their choices ahead of the final locking deadline.
The second mock allotment will be published on June 11, considering changes made until 5 PM on June 10. Candidates must lock their choices by 5 PM on June 12, after which the system will auto-lock the latest preferences.
JoSAA Counselling 2025 includes registration, choice filling, mock allotments, final seat allotment, seat acceptance, and document verification. It enables admissions to over 100 top engineering institutions, including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
To confirm their seat, candidates must pay a partial admission fee:
- ₹20,000 for SC/ST/PwD
- ₹45,000 for General, OBC-NCL, and GEN-EWS
Students should only select programs and colleges they truly prefer, as locked choices determine final seat allotment. Required documents include Class 10 & 12 marksheets, JEE admit card, category/PwD certificates, medical certificate, and more.
