Sunny Deol’s high-octane action drama Jaat is now ready to make its OTT debut after a successful run in theatres from April 10. The much-anticipated film is set to stream on one of the leading OTT platforms from June 5.Jaat OTT ReleaseSunny Deol revealed the release date in a powerful video on Instagram. The OTT platform shared a promotional video where Sunny was heard saying that people had been asking him about the release date, and he exuded a heroic appeal while revealing it. “@iamsunnydeol has a tareekh for you 🔥 Note kar lo, JAAT aa raha hai 😎🔥 Watch Jaat, out 5 June, in Hindi and Telugu, on Netflix,” the makers captioned the video.About JaatHelmed by Gopichand Malineni, Jaat also stars Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra in significant roles.
The film is backed by the well-known production house behind the Pushpa series, marking their first Hindi-language production. The makers have already confirmed that a sequel is on the way.The movie reportedly crossed around Rs 100 crore worldwide.ETimes reviewed the movie: “Visually, the film holds its own. Thaman S’s background score heightens the drama effectively, and the cinematography offers a gritty, lived-in aesthetic. Action sequences, while often overindulgent, are slick and impactful. The dialogues, penned by Saurabh Gupta and Sai Madhav Burra, are over-the-top and theatrical—often more memorable than the scenes themselves.However, narrative pacing becomes a significant issue post-interval. The second half drags, and the film’s 153-minute runtime begins to weigh heavily. A forced item number featuring Urvashi Rautela feels unnecessary and only adds to the film’s bloated feel.”On the work front, Sunny is gearing up for the release of ‘Border 2’.
