Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 continues its impressive run at the box office as it inches closer to surpassing the lifetime collection of Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2. Released on June 6, Housefull 5 has now completed 12 days in theatres and stands with a total collection of Rs 162.15 crore. The film has already become one of the top-grossing Hindi films of 2025, and now eyes the next milestone — overtaking Raid 2 to claim the spot as the second highest-grossing Hindi film of the year after Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, which released earlier this year, had managed an impressive lifetime total of Rs 172.87 crore. With Housefull 5 currently just Rs 10.72 crore behind, it is well within reach of crossing that figure in the coming days.The first week for Housefull 5 was solid, raking in Rs 127.25 crore. The film opened with Rs 24 crore on its first Friday, followed by a steady climb over the weekend with Rs 31 crore and Rs 32.5 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Although it witnessed an expected dip on weekdays, the numbers remained respectable, ensuring a strong week one total.In its second weekend, the film maintained decent momentum. It collected Rs 6 crore on its second Friday, followed by Rs 9.5 crore and Rs 11.5 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Early estimates for Monday and Tuesday of the second week stood at Rs 3.75 crore and Rs 4.15 crore. If this trend continues, the film is expected to cross the Rs 173 crore mark over the weekend. The film has already become the sixth biggest grosser of Akshay’s career and if the new releases like Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par and Dhanush’s Kubera fail to take off – then might also beat 2.0 which made about Rs 190 crore at the box office. While Chhaava still reigns supreme as the biggest Hindi grosser of 2025, Housefull 5 is well on track to secure the second spot.
