Sunrisers Hyderabad have named former Indian pace bowler Varun Aaron as their bowling coach for the 2026 IPL season. He will succeed James Franklin, the former New Zealand left-arm fast bowler.“A fiery addition to our coaching staff! Welcome Varun Aaron as our new bowling coach,” SRH shared on their ‘X’ account.Aaron’s international career for India included nine Tests and nine ODIs between 2011 and 2015. His final competitive match was a Vijay Hazare Trophy game, representing Jharkhand against Goa in Jaipur on January 5 this year.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. This ability quickly caught the attention of national selectors. The cricket administration at that time had plans to develop both Aaron and another emerging fast bowler, Umesh Yadav. While Umesh went on to play more than 50 Test matches, Aaron’s career was hampered by frequent injuries. After retiring from cricket, Aaron worked as a television commentator before accepting his new role with the Hyderabad team.
