England’s vice-captain Harry Brook has opened up about missing the Indian Premier League (IPL) and his plans to play in the tournament in the future.“It was an incredibly difficult decision to make,” Brook told TOI in an exclusive interview.“It is a fantastic tournament, the best tournament in the world in franchise cricket, with such great players, superb coaches, and terrific crowds.“I would like to play it again, but for now, my priority is to do well for England across formats.”The right-handed swashbuckling batter also showered praise on Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant.
“He is an awesome player. It was great watching him bat. He is an eye-catcher; everybody switches on the TV when he bats.He can take the game away from any team, at any stage… One of the best in the world.”The second Test of the five-match series will start on Wednesday.“Historically, Birmingham can be flatter and can have a bit more spin. But it’s an English wicket at the end of the day, and if there is anything for spinners, it will be at the back end of Days 4 and 5,” said Brook.
