The Ruth Strauss Foundation’s annual #RedForRuth campaign returns for its seventh edition on Friday, the second day of the third Test between England and India at Lord’s. It will see people being urged to wear red.The campaign will see players, staff, broadcasters and thousands of spectators don red in support of the Foundation’s mission. SUBSCRIBE NOW!Spectators attending Day 2 have been encouraged to wear red and arrive early to be part of a special opening ceremony planned just before the first ball. Volunteers at the ground will be selling #RedForRuth bucket hats and handing out Ruth Roses in exchange for donations.The initiative rallies the cricketing community in a powerful show of solidarity for families coping with the terminal illness of a parent.
The Foundation, through the generosity and support of fans over the past six years, has already supported over 3,500 family members navigating grief, and trained more than 1,000 cancer care professionals in handling bereavement. The impact has been both widespread and deeply personal.All proceeds from the day will go toward RSF’s vital work in helping families through some of life’s most challenging moments.
