THE EVENTS UNFOLDING BEFORE YOUR EYES. WE DID HAVE THAT EAST COAST SEA BREEZE MEETING UP WITH A COUPLE BOUNDARY COLLISIONS NOW, PUSHING IT WELL TOWARDS THE WEST OF I-95, IN WHICH WE’LL KEEP THE SEVERE WEATHER RISK IN PLACE UNTIL 8:00, WE’LL START TO LOSE SOME HEAT AFTER SUNSET, AND THEN THESE IMPACTS WILL BEGIN TO DIE DOWN. BUT WHAT WE’RE STILL MONITORING ARE DAMAGING WINDS. THAT CHANCE FOR HAIL. OF COURSE, FLOODING, RAIN SHOWERS AND EVEN THE SMALL CHANCE FOR AN ISOLATED TORNADO EVENT. OUR TOWER CAM IS SITUATED IN TAVARES RIGHT NOW, WHERE THE SHOWERS CONTINUE TO POUR. WE’RE WATCHING THE STORMS TONIGHT, BUT SUNDAY WE MAY HAVE A SIMILAR SETUP ON OUR HANDS. AS IT STANDS RIGHT NOW, THERE IS NO MARGINAL THREAT OR THREAT AT ALL. ISSUED BY THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER, BUT WE JUST HAVE TO BE CAUTIOUS BECAUSE BETWEEN NOW AND MEMORIAL DAY ITSELF, WE’LL HAVE THOSE FAMILIAR SUMMERTIME TEMPERATURES ADDING FUEL TO THE FIRE, WHICH WHICH IS OUR SEVERE WEATHER THREAT. HERE’S A LOOK AT OUR LIVE RADAR. YOU SEE THE CLUSTERS OF SHOWERS AND STORMS ONGOING, BUT ALSO OUT TOWARDS I 75. THAT’S WHERE YOUR EAST COAST SEA BREEZE HAS TRAVELED PRETTY FAR DISTANCE. RIGHT. AND THAT’S BEEN THE CAUSE OF MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF STRONGER STORMS TODAY. ZOOMING IN ACROSS SORRENTO, ALSO OUT TOWARDS APOPKA. YOU SEE THESE SHOWERS PULLING IN FROM THE NORTH AND THE WEST, SLOW MOVERS. AND THAT GIVES THE RAIN MORE CHANCES TO SET UP AND BEGIN TO PILE UP AS WELL. AND THEN AS WE MOVE SOUTH OF CLERMONT, HERE’S WHERE WE HAVE AN ACTIVE, ONGOING, STRONGER STORM. THIS IS SLOWLY PUSHING TOWARDS THE SOUTH AND THE EAST. WINTER HAVEN IN POLK COUNTY IS WHERE WE HAD OUR MOST SIGNIFICANT CHANCE FOR ANY ROTATION. THIS HAS BEEN IN THE LAST HOUR OR SO. YOU SEE THAT STORM TRACKER THERE OVER WINTER HAVEN JUST A MOMENT AGO. BUT WE’VE ALSO SEEN SOME HAIL AS WELL. THESE HAILSTONES COULD BE UP TO AN INCH IN DIAMETER AND FURTHER OUT TOWARDS THE EAST IS WHERE WE’VE SEEN OUR MOST SIGNIFICANT RAIN SHOWERS THAT HAVE ATTRIBUTED TO UP TO AN INCH AND A HALF, OR POSSIBLY TWO, PLUS INCHES IN ACCUMULATION. AND IT’S ALL COURTESY OF THAT EAST COAST SEA BREEZE. WE’VE SEEN THAT. BUT WHAT IT’S MEETING UP WITH RIGHT NOW, CLOSE TO I-75, POSSIBLY SPAWNING STRONGER SHOWERS AND STORMS TONIGHT IS THE WEST COAST BREEZE, WHERE WE HAVE GUSTS OF UP TO 23 OR 28MPH IN WILDWOOD AND LEESBURG. WE’VE HAD SOME HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY IN THE LOW AND MID 90S. WE’VE COOLED SIGNIFICANTLY SINCE THEN. IN FACT, IN LEESBURG, WHERE WE HAVE ONGOING SHOWERS, YOU’RE BACK IN THE UPPER 70S AND WE’LL SEE SLOWLY OVER TIME. BETWEEN NOW AND EIGHT, THE CHANCE FOR STORMS IS GOING TO FADE OUT OF THE FORECAST. THAT WILL LEAVE US PARTLY CLOUDY OVERNIGHT OR MOSTLY CLEAR. TO START OFF THE MORNING TOMORROW. AND AS YOUR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND DOES CONTINUE, WE’VE GOT A 50% CHANCE FOR STORMS ON SUNDAY, 60% ON MONDAY ITSELF, AND THAT’S BECAUSE OF THAT FAMILIAR EAST COAST SETUP. THEN WE’LL SEE THOSE TEMPERATURES RISE IN THE AFTERNOON, HAVE A COUPLE SHOWERS AND STORMS POPULATING ACROSS THE I-4 CORRIDOR IN WHICH WE’LL HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR ANY IMPACTFUL WEATHER. YOUR FULL FORECAST FOR TOMORROW. OF COURSE, IT FEELS LIKE SUMMER AS TEMPERATURES WILL BE BACK IN THE UPPER 80S AND LOWER 90S, BUT WE GOT A LOT OF RAIN TO GET THROUGH, NOT JUST TOMORROW, BUT OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT WEEK, WE COULD SEE 2 TO 3IN AS EACH AND EVERY DAY IN YOUR FORECAST HAS A 50% SHOT AT GREATER OF ANY RAIN SHOWERS OR STORMS. AND WE SEE ON LABOR DAY WE’LL HAVE TO WATCH THE RAD
