Ho Su begins learning sign language to better communicate with clients and even earns the respect of Chung Su. Mi Rae keeps in touch with Se Jin while working hard at the strawberry farm, where she continues to grow her skills.
One year later:
In a final time jump, the story fast-forwards one year. Mi Rae now handles distribution meetings after her second strawberry harvest, showing confidence and leadership. She also publishes her first blog, and to no one’s surprise, Han Se Jin turns out to be her first reader.
Meanwhile, Mi Ji is studying psychology in college, a nod to her growth and her desire to better understand herself and others. She tells Ho Su that she has decided to be a therapist. Ho Su and Mi Ji attend a public poetry reading by Sang Wol, celebrating her memory and reinforcing how far they’ve all come, while Mi Rae reunites with Han Se Ji, who has left his life in the US behind.
