    ‘Housefull 5’ Box Office collection day 3: Akshay Kumar starrer comedy film inches towards Rs 90 crore mark; mints Rs 32 crore on first Sunday

    ‘Housefull 5’ is off to a flying start. The film, starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and others opened to strong numbers and is going steady at the box office. On its first Sunday, the movie collected Rs 32 crore, taking the total to Rs 87 crore, as reported by Sacnilk.Housefull 5 Movie ReviewAs per early estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 24 crore on its opening day. It saw a sharp jump on the second day, collecting Rs 31 crore. With Rs 32 crore more on the third day, ‘Housefull 5’ now inches close to the Rs 90 crore mark. If the pace continues, it might even hit Rs 100 crore by Monday.Sunday shows see strong turnout‘Housefull 5’ saw a good turnout in cinemas on Sunday, 8 June 2025, with an overall Hindi occupancy of 39.52%. The turnout steadily increased as the day progressed, starting with 17.72% in morning shows, rising to 48.80% in the afternoon, peaking at 54.77% in the evening, and settling at 36.78% for night shows. These figures highlight the film’s popularity and its ability to draw crowds throughout the day, especially during prime hours, reflecting its growing word-of-mouth appeal among moviegoers.Akshay Kumar goes undercoverIn a fun twist, Akshay Kumar decided to visit a cinema hall to get live reactions from fans, without revealing who he was. The actor wore baggy jeans, a loose shirt and the ‘Killer Mask’ from the movie.He mingled with the audience after the screening, asking for their honest opinions. Some fans walked past without noticing him, while others gave their feedback with excitement. Fans were full of praise for the comedy, performances and dance numbers. Many appreciated Akshay’s role in the film. Some even commented on how real the mask looked, not knowing it was Akshay behind it.Sharing a video from the visit, Akshay wrote on Instagram, “Bas yun hi I decided to wear the killer mask and interview people coming out of the Housefull5 show at Bandra today. Pakda jaane wala thaa end mein but bhaag gaya us se pehle. Mast experience.”A star-studded comedyDirected by Tarun Mansukhani, ‘Housefull 5’ brings back the franchise’s fun and madness with a fresh twist.
