India were forced to admit defeat at the hands of a relentless England bowling attack on Monday at Lord’s. The former Indian skipper and No 3 called time on his red-ball career shortly before the squad was announced for the Test series against England.While his retirement did not take center stage in the first two Tests in the series given India’s sublime batting, the defeat in the 3rd, which saw India fail to chase the 193-run target highlighted what the side was missing, according to Healy.
“I probably shouldn’t say this for the sake of the current Indian team, but it made me miss Virat Kohli a little bit, because I would imagine him absolutely thriving in that environment, trying to save a Test match.
