As Jasprit Bumrah breathed fire on the second day of the third Test between India and England at Lord’s, former England captain Nasser Hussain revealed the seamer wanted to be on the Honours Board at the ‘Home of Cricket’. The seamer returned to India’s playing XI for the third Test after missing the second match at Edgbaston.India vs England 3rd Test Day 2 LIVE SCOREAfter accounting for Harry Brook’s wicket on Day 1, Bumrah helped his tally along with wickets of Joe Root, Ben stokes and Chris Woakes. At one stage, with wickets of Root and Woakes, he was on a hat-trick.Former England captain Nasser Hussain said in commentary that Bumrah, destined to play three Tests in the series, had sat out of the second Test because he wanted to see his name among the legends at Lord’s.“He wanted to play at Lord’s, he wanted to be on Honours Boards,” said Hussain in commentary. On Thursday, England won the toss and chose to bat against India in the third Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy Test, with both teams welcoming back their premier fast bowlers Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah. The five-match series stands level at 1-1, following England’s five-wicket victory at Headingley and India’s 336-run win at Edgbaston.India brought back Bumrah in place of Prasidh Krishna, while Kuldeep Yadav remained on the sidelines.Indian captain Shubman Gill shared his thoughts on the toss decision: “If there’s anything in the wicket, it’s going to be on the first few days. I think the contribution from everyone was great; that was what we were aiming for from all of us. The bowlers are feeling confident, it wasn’t easy to take all those wickets on that pitch (at Edgbaston). I feel good when the hard work pays, it’s very satisfying.”England XI: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes, Jamie Smith, Chris Woakes, Brydon Carse, Jofra Archer, and Shoaib Bashir.India XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep, and Mohammed Siraj.
