Two Tops jams have been recalled across four states, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Tuesday. The products, made by Mangalm, LLC, contain carmoisine, an unapproved red color additive that may pose health concerns to consumers.
The recall affects two products:
- Names: Tops Mixed Fruit Jam and Tops Strawberry Jam
- Size: 475 grams
- Batch: 4F1101
- Best-before date: Oct. 6, 2026
The items were distributed in Utah, Portland, Washington, and California.
If you have the recalled jams, do not eat them. Throw them out or return them for a refund. There have been no confirmed illnesses in connection with the recalled jams, but the FDA recommends seeking medical attention—and mentioning the products—if you feel sick after consuming them.
