Television actress Dipika Kakar has revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. The Sasural Simar Ka star took to social media to share the heartbreaking news with her fans and well-wishers. In an emotional note, Dipika recounted the series of events that led to the discovery of the illness and expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and support coming her way.“As you all are aware, the last few weeks have been quite difficult for us,” Dipika wrote. “Walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach… and then finding out it’s a tennis ball-sized tumour in the liver, and then finding out that the tumour is second-stage malignant (cancerous), it has been one of the most difficult times we have seen and experienced.”Despite the daunting diagnosis, Dipika’s spirit remains unshaken. “I am all positive, determined to face this and walk out stronger, InshAllah! With my entire family being by my side and all the love and prayers pouring in from all of you, I will sail through this too,” she added.Last week, Dipika was hospitalised after experiencing high fever and persistent pain. Her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, has been keeping fans updated through vlogs and social media. In a video shared on May 21, Shoaib revealed that Dipika fell ill while weaning their son, which eventually led to the diagnosis and hospitalisation.In a more recent update, Shoaib informed fans via Instagram stories that Dipika is now feeling better and has returned home. He also shared that doctors initially considered surgery to remove the tumour, which was scheduled for the following week. However, after reviewing PET scan reports, the decision was made to hold off on the procedure.Fans and fellow celebrities have been flooding social media with wishes and prayers for Dipika’s speedy recovery.
