The official site mentions, “There is an $85,000 sponsorship fee upon selection. The fee is used to pay for the creation and installation of the star, as well as the maintenance of the Walk of Fame. Price subject to change.”When converted into Indian money, this comes to nearly Rs 73 lakh—that’s a small fortune for a slab on the street, even if it does carry worldwide fame.Even applying needs money!But that’s not all. There’s a fee just to apply. Each application costs $275 (around Rs 23,530) and needs to be paid for every submission, which is allowed once every two years.
