Dhanush’s Kuberaa sets North America box office on fire, premiere shows cross US $450K mark
Dhanush’s ‘Kuberaa,’ featuring Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna, is making waves at the North American box office. Distributed by Prathyangira Cinemas, the film has already surpassed US $450K, driven by strong Tamil and Telugu diaspora support. The Telugu version leads, followed by the Tamil version, marking a significant opening for both Dhanush and Nagarjuna.

Dhanush’s latest film Kuberaa, co-starring Telugu superstar Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna, is off to a blazing start at the North American box office. Distributed by Prathyangira Cinemas, the film has managed to strike a chord with audiences overseas, particularly among the Tamil and Telugu-speaking diaspora, as it races past the US $450K mark within its early run.

As per data shared by Prathyangira Cinemas a couple of hours ago Kuberaa directed by Sekhar Kammula had grossed an impressive $422,489 from its North American premieres. The Telugu version led the charge with $327,699, while the Tamil version followed with a healthy $94,790. This early trend positions Kuberaa as one of the strongest openings for a Dhanush and Nagarjuna film in the North American market in recent times. What’s noteworthy is the pace at which the film’s collections have surged in its first few hours. According to trade sources, the film has already crossed US $450K by now, hinting at a strong first weekend total ahead. The combination of Dhanush’s appeal, Nagarjuna’s enduring fanbase in the Telugu states and overseas Rashmika Mandanna’s popularity across both Tamil and Telugu markets and Sekhar Kammula’s dedicated audience seems to have worked well in the film’s favor. Kuberaa, which explores the relationship between money and morality, has captured the curiosity of audiences with its rich narrative. Adding to the momentum is the positive word-of-mouth the film has begun generating for its gripping storyline, performances, and visual effects. For Dhanush, this is a much-needed international box office boost, reaffirming his standing as one of the few Tamil stars with consistent overseas appeal. Nagarjuna, too, continues to prove his box office clout in North America, a market where Telugu cinema has seen exponential growth in recent years. With a packed weekend ahead and audiences flocking to theaters, Kuberaa is poised for a solid overseas run. All eyes are now on how high it will climb by the end of its opening weekend
