    Devi Sri Prasad reacts to 'Oo Antava' song from 'Pushpa' being copied by Turkish singer Atiye: 'I'm thinking about filing a case against them'

    Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ franchise became one of the most celebrated in Tollywood, and its pan-India reach turned it into one of the biggest box office successes. However, music composer Devi Sri Prasad has stirred controversy overseas by claiming that his song ‘Oo Antava’ from the first instalment has been plagiarised by a Turkish pop artist.Devi Sri Prasad reacts to ‘Oo Antava’ being copied by Turkish singerDuring a recent public interaction, Devi Sri Prasad stated, “You’ve all enjoyed the ‘Oo Antava’ song from Pushpa. However, now the song has been copied in Turkish. The version sung by singer Atiye is very similar to ours—so much so that we could call it a plain copy.”

    According to DSP, the Turkish rendition, performed by pop artist Atiye, mirrors the original composition to a concerning extent. “I am thinking about filing a case against them and considering what to do. But I am proud that our Telugu song has been copied,” he added.Atiye’s song Anlayana grabs attentionAtiye released her latest song, ‘Anlayana’, in 2024. The track is now under scrutiny, as social media users have pointed out that its melody bears a striking resemblance to ‘Oo Antava’.Many social media users have taken to the comment section of the YouTube video to point out the similarity. One fan wrote, “Inspired by ‘Oo Antava Mava.. O Oo Antava Mava!!’ Originally composed by DSP 🔥🔥.” Another reacted, “Its original song is from India – ‘O Antava Mava O O Antava ❤.’”Atiye has not yet responded to the ongoing claims or the social media buzz surrounding the song.About Pushpa franchiseDirected by Sukumar, Pushpa: The Rise featured Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. The song ‘Oo Antava’ showcased Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a bold appearance. The second part, Pushpa: The Rule, also became a global hit.
