Detailing $4M Aston Martin Valkyrie wrong could lead to a $220,000 problem

Expensive hypercars such as the $4M Aston Martin Valkyrie have to be washed and detailed just like any other car.

But there’s nothing normal about these expensive hypercars, which means washing a $4M Aston Martin Valkyrie is also more than just another Tuesday.

There’s one button in particular that you could easily press by accident while detailing the car.

And you shouldn’t, because that could lead to $220,000 problem.

DISCOVER SBX CARS: The global premium car auction platform powered by Supercar Blondie

In their newest video, the guys from the AMMO NYC YouTube channel explained how there’s a whole process and fruit salad of disclaimers and rules to follow when you wash and detail an Aston Martin Valkyrie.

The YouTuber said he even had to have a meeting with an Aston Martin engineer to go over the multi-step starting procedure and what buttons to ‘not watch’.

The Valkyrie is a 1,139-horsepower hypercar that uses F1 technology, including a complex hydraulic system for its doors and active aerodynamics.

The Valkyrie uses dihedral doors, just like the Tourbillon, which are basically like gull-wing doors, except they’re even more complicated.

Buttons linked to the car’s hydraulic and active wing systems, if pressed accidentally while you’re cleaning the car, could cause the doors to get stuck or the rear wing to misalign.

These mistakes could easily end up costing you $220,000, which is how much you’d have to pay to fix the doors or the wing.

As you can imagine, fixing the door in a Valkyrie isn’t a walk in the park.

In fact, nothing about these expensive hypercars is a walk in the park.

These cars are expensive to buy and even more expensive to maintain.

Even ‘regular’ Astons can cost tens of thousands of dollars a year in maintenance, but the Valkyrie isn’t a ‘normal’ car.

With the Valkyrie, you’ll need closer to six figures every year.
