  • She said the airline gave her a $60 voucher as compensation for the incident
  • The horrified passenger wrote that she would “never again” fly with the airline

A creepy, crawly sight caught one Spirit Airlines passenger off guard on a recent flight.

Simone Beez shared a pair of videos on X on Sunday, May 11, that she captured inside the plane cabin. In the clips, what appears to be multiple cockroaches crawl up various parts of the interior, including up the walls and on a seat.

In one video, the passenger shared a video of a brown roach making its way up the back of a chair from the back seat pocket with its little legs as passengers who witnessed it could be heard murmuring in the background.

In a second clip, another bug could be seen crawling up the side of the plane wall in the crevice of an emergency exit and close to another seat.

PEOPLE reached out to Spirit for comment but did not immediately receive a reply.

“Never again will I fly @SpiritAirlines,” Beez wrote alongside the videos shared. “I’ve flown over 500,000 miles on Delta and have never in my life seen roaches on a plane this is crazy.”

In another post on X, she added, “All the people saying roaches are common on planes are lying.” She added, “I’ve never even seen an ant on Delta let alone two big a– roaches in first class.”

Several people responded to her post in shock, writing  “wtf” and “wow.” One person wrote on X, “You need a refund! That’s ridiculous.” Another said on X, “They lucky you ain’t sue the hell I’d need full refund.”

Another proposed she “should’ve gotten a free refund and and free flight.”

In an update on May 12, Beez shared on X that she received a response from Spirit Airlines apologizing for the incident and revealed that the company issued her a $60 voucher credit for her next trip. She also shared a screenshot of the message she received, which had the title, “We’re Sorry!”

“We sincerely apologize for what happened on your recent trip,” the airline said in its message.  “We care about your satisfaction and want to make this right. Please accept our apologies along with this voucher for future travel to any of our destinations.

However, Beez said she “won’t be flying Spirit again,” and added that it was a “one and done for me lol.”

This isn’t the first time that a cockroach has been found in an unexpected location on a flight. In September, an airline passenger shared photos of a cockroach in her in-flight meal  while traveling on Air India to New York with her young child.
