The week of June 23 saw two major food recalls, both affecting massive brands.

Cheese sold at Trader Joe’s was pulled from shelves over potential Listeria contamination, while Kilwins chocolate was recalled for an undeclared pecan allergen.

Check your fridge and pantry for the following items.

Last Friday, Trader Joe’s recalled cheese curds sold at stores in two states. The cheese, produced by Face Rock Creamery, may be contaminated with Listeria.

If you shop at Trader Joe’s, check your fridge for the recalled cheese, toss or return it, and monitor for signs of Listeria.

The recalled cheese may contain Listeria.

Kilwins voluntarily recalled its Mocha Truffles on Wednesday because they may contain an undeclared allergen: pecans. The products were sold at nine Kilwins stores across seven states.

People with an allergy or sensitivity to pecans run the risk of a serious allergic reaction if they eat the recalled chocolate. If you can consume pecans, the products are otherwise safe to eat.
